An Appeal For Calm in the Wake of a Political Assassination

Royce Season 11 Episode 725

Yes, indeed, we are locked and we are loaded and we are sad and we are angry and
we are upset about an event that took place today where one of our brethren,
Mr. Charlie Kirk, was
That, I tell you, this day has been one of lows and highs on the way home from
work today. Mr. Eric Friday called. He's the general counsel for Florida carry and
he won a magnificent victory in an appeals court today here in Florida.
And the ban on open carry was essentially thrown out. It was overruled here in
Florida, essentially nullifying that law and that ban. And that was the high part of
the day. And in matter of fact, Eric's going to be on the program tomorrow evening,
where, as we record, and he's going to tell you all about that case. I think that
had been overshadowed now anyway, with the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
And I didn't want to get behind the mic tonight and speak in the wake of such a
heinous act. And with my Scotch -Irish emotions running high and my blood boiling,...
And I had to pray before I sat down here and I'm asking for calm amongst my
fellow patriots, my fellow Americans, my fellow Christians who watched such a
wonderful life get snuffed out today.
This is difficult. Any of you that followed Charlie Kirk knew of his testimony and
you knew what he stood for and he was unafraid, filled with a holy boldness as he
would speak the truth. A lot of people found that to be mean and they didn't like
him because he spoke the truth and that's usually what happens when a nation has
drifted so far away from the truth that when someone begins to speak it. It
suddenly is viewed as hate speech. They have in the wake of this many media pundits basically blaming Charlie himself for what whoever did this did.
I,... It's... trying so hard right now to not launch.
But I will tell you that my patriotic fervor is at a boiling point and I don't
want to act on that. I don't want you to act on that. I don't want anybody to
act on your anger. You cannot. It's foolish to act out of anger or extreme sadness,
which often produces a rage within us. You cannot act out on this.
It was hideous to watch. When I saw where he was struck,
I knew immediately it probably was not a good chance he would survive.
I'm sure a lot of facts will come out in the days ahead and even if those facts
point to even a more insidious conspiracy, even involving possibly government actors.
I'm not saying that it was. I'm just saying, if something like that should reveal
itself, please remain calm,
remain calm, remain calm and pray and breathe. I'm asking my dear fellow patriots to
remain calm, But at the same time, my fellow Americans,
we are in a cold civil war present, presently. We absolutely are.
I don't see how anybody could miss it if you're really paying attention. And this
thing could ignite so quickly right now, so easily. There's so many things I'm
reading from my fellow patriots online and they're talking about getting kitted up
and fixing things. I'm like, guys, calm down. Please do not act in,
in, in reflexive anger like this. You can't be reflexive at all.
Please do some breathing. Don't let some of the stupid crap that the leftist are
saying as they dance on Charlie's grave. Don't let them get to you.
You can't. I mean, if you do, well, let's put it this way.
How many of you have ever regretted doing something in anger?
Exactly. Me too. I have never regretted not doing something in anger.
And so I appeal to you for calm.
Uh, from my soul, I beg you, please remain calm.
You need to be preparing for potential violence. And if you haven't begun already,
you're probably a couple of years behind
because they may become emboldened over this. And when I say they, I'm talking about
the little commie mugwamps, the ones who were talking about taking the fight to us
and taking up arms to quote unquote defend democracy and they're speaking foolishly
right now. Please let's not add our angry speech to their stupidity.
Let's not descend into that same pig pen that they wallow in and allow ourselves to
become embroiled in vitriolic words that will keep us awake all night.
It'll keep our anger burning. We won't be able to sleep. And then tomorrow our
nerves will be frazzled. It's probably gonna impact our work efforts tomorrow.
Those of us that have to go to work in the morning. Please do some breathing. Do
what they call breathing the box. Breathe in four full seconds.
Hold it for four full seconds. Exhale for four full seconds.
Hold that for more seconds and repeat. Do that to make your mind and your heart
calm. Those of you that are Christians and believe in prayer, please I pray to calm
your heart and your mind.
I tell you, it's going to be hard, I believe, and the day is coming up.
You're going to read more and more of the taunting and garbage online as they
celebrate some imagined victory.
They have no idea what they're messing with. You know this, I know this. They don't
know this and they may try something stupid. So what you need to be focused on
right now is being prepared to counter any violence on their side.
You let them bring it to us. If they bring it to you,
you fight like you're the third freaking monkey on the ramp to Noah's Ark and it's
starting to rain, baby. And you pour it to them.
A lot of us are understandably ticked off. We're ready to kid up, but again,
I beg you one more time for restraint.
Please be calm.
This has already emboldened some of them, as you know, and they may try to oppress
some imagined advantage. But what I want to do right now is have a prayer for
Charlie's family, his wife and his children, his mother,
his father if they're still living, and any brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles who had
to witness the assassination of their loved one on live TV today for all intents
and purposes and that hideous video that's making the rounds online.
So let's pray for them and let's pray for us and let's pray for our country
Because we are in a bad place right now This could ignite things If the
assassination of Archduke Ferdinand can entire could ignite World War one Don't think
something like this couldn't do the same Let's be the wise ones.
Our father,
we come to your throne boldly because you said we could in Jesus your son and we
want to thank you for Charlie Kirk. What a gift you loaned us with him.
With his life, with his wisdom, with his fearlessness with his testimony of salvation
in Jesus Christ.
We thank you that his death was merely a portal as he stepped into eternal life as
he breathed his last here on this side.
We're grateful that we know those of us who trust you. We know That he now sings
before your throne as he waits there for us to join him Thank you for that holy
boldness you gave him. Thank you for that fire that he spoke with thank you for
the Fearlessness with which he spoke the truth and we know that it was engendered
by his faith in you Lord It made that same fire that burned in Charlie fill all
of us Christians and Patriots and inspire us to follow his example of Godly strength
and courage calm us Lord calm us Remind us that this is the time to pray and as
we pray May we daily Remember, Charlie's dear wife and his children and all of his
other surviving family members.
And we thank you, Lord. We thank you again for loaning Charlie to us.
And we thank you in the name of Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
